What I do
Currently, I’m developing AKTIV+, a platform designed to support people with Parkinson’s, their families, and caregivers. I work across all areas of the project, from product and UX to frontend, backend, architecture, and AI, turning ideas and research into a real product.
AKTIV+ was created to address a gap that many families face after a Parkinson’s diagnosis: limited access to specialized support, lack of practical guidance, and the feeling that life has suddenly become defined by the disease. We want to change that. AKTIV+ supports people living with Parkinson’s, their families, and caregivers through accessible information, movement and cognitive activities, and practical tools for everyday life. Because Parkinson’s changes the way a person lives, but it should not take away their autonomy, connection, or possibility of living a meaningful life. AKTIV+ is about helping people adapt, stay active, and live better with Parkinson’s.
I am the founder and creator of AKTIV+, a project born from my personal experience living closely with Parkinson’s in my family. My role is to turn real everyday needs into a useful digital product. I work across product vision, user experience, frontend architecture, development, and technical decision-making. The stack includes React, Next.js, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, shadcn/ui, Turborepo, and Python for backend and AI-related features. I am also exploring artificial intelligence and computer vision to support movement analysis and, in the future, provide more meaningful feedback for people living with Parkinson’s. AKTIV+ brings together my experience in frontend engineering, architecture, product thinking, and AI experimentation — always starting from a real human problem and using technology to help improve the lives of people living with Parkinson’s.
The biggest technical challenge has been understanding which technologies can truly bring value to people living with Parkinson’s and how to translate movement into a meaningful digital experience. Technically, I am exploring an architecture based on different layers: capturing movement through the browser, using computer vision to analyze it, extracting relevant movement metrics, sending structured data to the backend, and presenting progress and feedback through the user dashboard. Whenever possible, the idea is to process movement locally on the user’s device, reducing latency and limiting the need to send video data to external services. The goal is not simply to add AI to the product, but to understand how technologies such as computer vision and movement analysis can support exercises, identify useful patterns, and help people with Parkinson’s stay active in a way that is accessible and meaningful for their daily lives.
+15 years in frontend. I’ve built, maintained, migrated, and improved systems. I’ve worked with legacy code, started products from scratch, succeeded, failed, worked hard, cried, and smiled. I’ve seen jQuery give way to new ways of building interfaces, React change the game, Hooks change the way we write React, and now I see AI becoming part of the team.
I faced major challenges and entered a completely new world, one that changed the way I build software and choose technologies. At first, architecture felt like a big puzzle. Today, I understand that what matters most is seeing the whole picture, understanding how each part connects, and putting the pieces together with purpose.
Neuroscience has been a dream of mine since I was nine years old. Years later, it became part of my education and the way I understand people and technology. Today, connecting neuroscience, software, and AI feels like bringing together ideas that have been part of my life for a long time.
My next steps are focused on expanding my technical skills. I want to go deeper into security, improve my Python skills, and continue building AKTIV+, connecting frontend, backend, AI, and neuroscience in a real product.
